Sacred & Immaculate Heart Printable Bundle

The month of June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This devotion started when Jesus appeared to a French nun, Saint Sister Margaret Mary Alacoque, in 1673.

The month of August is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This devotion reminds us of Mary’s pure and loving heart, always united with her Son. It’s a time to reflect on Mary’s love for Jesus and for us, and to imitate her humility, compassion, and trust in God’s will. Families often celebrate this month by praying the Rosary, consecrating their homes to Mary, or simply adding small Marian devotions to daily life.

Jesus asked that the image of His heart be honored. He asked that the faithful make amends for wrongdoings, receive Holy Communion and pray a Holy Hour. He gave 12 promises to those who venerate His Sacred Heart.It wasn't until 1856 when Pope Pius IX added the Solemnity to the Church calendar.
